Given a chance to go back, I will still choose to be a flight attendant

Will I? Given a chance to go back, I will still choose to be a flight attendant. I will answer with a confident “YES!” Talking specifically about my career, if I will change one thing is initially I would apply for a middle eastern airline and maybe work there for a few years only because though it would entail a lot of sacrifices, the monetary compensation would ideally be better. Save up and after my contract, I would hopefully apply and be accepted to an airline based in the Philippines to be able to spend the remainder of my flying career with family and friends. Plus a few more changes here or there perhaps. To be honest, the opportunities actually came a couple of times during my career, but it did not come into action for a number of reasons.

Easy to say right?

But how sure are we that given the chance to change the past, like if I pursued that idea, would things go as how we planned them? Or if I change some of the decisions I have done, would I still be in the airline industry? Would I find something better? Or worse? Would those decisions give me the same opportunities I’ve had in my career? I’m not really sure. And nobody can really tell.

I am a believer that everything we have done in our past would somehow lead us to where we are now. And wherever we are now, is where we are supposed to be.

All the triumphs, challenges, failures and experience, molded us to the person we are now.

Yes, the thought of having better opportunities or experiences based on some actions we could have done before is something to think about. But I am alive and have achieved a level of success and for that, I will be thankful and would always know that I am blessed.

Sometimes it is nice to think of different scenarios that we may have done based on our past. But instead of pondering, I would rather be thankful for the past and learn from it, focus on the present and try to prepare for the future. I choose to be a flight attendant. #AmorSpeaks
