AM I GOOD LOOKING ENOUGH TO BE A FLIGHT ATTENDANT?
Have you seen photos of flight attendants? Or have seen one in person? Do they look like models, celebrities, beauty queens? In short, someone you find attractive. Someone beautiful and handsome. And for some reason, it you would think that your looks are not at par with them.
To admit, to become a flight attendant, looks matter in some ways. But honestly, beauty is subjective. Your physical features, I call it genetic lottery. You are what you look like because of your parents, their genes and your ancestry which make your appearance a mix of different factors. With that being said, your physical look is something out of your control.
People have different views on the meaning of beauty. As I have mentioned earlier, it is subjective. The definition of beauty will differ from one person to another. And who are we to decide what is to be defined as beautiful? The pressure to be “beautiful” brings people to insecurity. Which leads to some individuals to worry about their skin color, if they are tall enough, the shape of their face, the length of their hair, the arch of their nose, shape of their eyes, moles and scars are some of the few things people worry about with regards to their looks. Now, when applying for as a flight attendant, these insecurities give aspirants reasons to not apply. So instead of focusing on such, why not put a spotlight on your strengths and manage your overall brand. And one of the best ways is to be presentable.
When meeting someone for the first time or acquiring procedures from a customer-service related company, the first thing we would see are the physical aspects of the frontliners.
In relation to this, some companies would have a specific package with regards to their employees. And in the airline industry, this may differ per company. So you may market yourself into something similar as you apply. So that these companies can already imagine you representing their brand.
Tho we may have our own preferences, there are some things that are similar to everyone.
Overall, try to be well-groomed. In addition to that, have a habit of having good posture, listen well when being talked to, practice your spills when you converse, and also look and feel your best. Because with regard to one’s physical attributes, rather than worrying if you are good-looking enough, be someone that captivates the senses. Show them why they should hire you. Because you already are enough. More than enough.
