No you are not seeing double. Meet Ashley and Anesha, both cabin crew members of Philippines Airlines for 8 years already. They are not just lovely and good-looking, but this gorgeous PAL flight attendant twin sisters also own a gaming shop!
On board the aircraft, it is hard to identify who is Ashley and Anesha, unless you look close on their wing nameplates. They share almost exactly the same features. When they are in PAL uniforms and standard make-up, you can barely see any difference, considering also the “PAL one-look” policy.
“We enjoy the passenger’s interactions and reactions whenever they ‘see double.’ We feel like it can bring some sort of amusement for the passengers during those 14-16 hr flights or even the 1-2 hr flights. It simply removes the ‘work’ part of the job for us twins and just enjoy the flight,” shared Ashley.
The PAL flying twins make sure that they get to work together on the same flight at least once or twice a month since they both really enjoy traveling together. Both Ashley and Anesha considers ‘crewlife’ really different from a normal life, and they do enjoy every moment of it. As flight attendants for 8 years already, they consider this the best job.
These flight attendant twin sisters are also gamers
Not only do Ashley and Anesha share the same physical features and uniform. They too share the same passion for gaming. According to Ashley, they already loved video games since they were very young. Despite everything, they continue to love playing games which had become their passion.
Well, having this passion for games also presented another opportunity for this flight attendant twins. The pandemic has brought about lockdowns and cancelled flights. A lot of people tried to finds ways to turn their passion into business opportunities. More people decided to get into live stream of their games on social media as they get to earn from this too.
In the first half of 2020 when lockdowns were prevalent, this flight attendant twins had to find ways to augment the loss of income due to flights being grounded. In order to save on costs, airlines had to put their crew and employees on unpaid leaves. This gave birth to THE GAME DEPOT PH, an online store that sells a variety of gaming peripherals.
From flight attendant twins to flight attendant twin entrepreneurs
Game Depot PH came about when Anesha and Ashley found an opportunity during the pandemic. “As we all know, gaming and streaming online is a booming/ fast growing thing ever since the pandemic started. It entertained a lot of people when the lock down happened. Besides all these reasons, we both just enjoy playing games and having the latest gadget there is to have for our gaming set up,” shared Ashley.
The goal of the twins for Game Depot PH was simple. That was to bring happiness to the gamers, business men and working professionals by providing “hard to find” models from big brands. The business is driven by the belief that every person still has a kid in them which they hope to cater to.
Of course, things did not go easy during the start. One of the biggest challenges the twins encountered is gaining that trust from customers, especially being new players in the industry. Having no testimonials and followers in the start proved to be hurdle but just like in a race, there are ways to learn how to jump above them. Throughout the process however, Ashley and Anesha never lost focus on hard-to-find peripherals for their customers. Eventually, they built the name and gained trust from new and returning buyers.
More customers and future plans for Game Depot PH
All efforts paid-off. In less than a year, surprisingly, their number of customers have been increasing fast, thanks to satisfied customers who have been spreading the word and giving good feedback. Trust is always paramount indeed
Ashley and Anesha aims to be a bigger supplier of computer parts and peripherals in the near future, and continue to provide hard-to-find gaming peripherals. They are also launching this new luxury gaming/office chair. These comfort-with-style gaming chairs are good for E-sports companies, businessmen, and working professionals who work all day in their offices.
How being flight attendants have helped them in their business
As PAL flight attendant sisters, both Ashley and Anesha have learned to be strong, independent, adaptable, and relentless in pursuing their goals. Other than enjoying every scenery and experience during travels, the twins have also learned to open their eyes to business possibilities and opportunities. “The opportunities of being a cabin crew are endless,” shared Ashley.
“We get to experience different things in life that we can never experience back home. We meet different people everyday, not just in different countries but also inside our work space, our colleagues.”
“These things have contributed a lot to our growth as a person,” Anesha said. Indeed, these PAL flight attendant entrepreneur twins do have a huge potential to be big business owners in the future.
