Being one of the leaders isn’t easy considering that you will undergo to become a leader for Emirates. After all, being a leader isn’t trainable. What Emirates does is when you’re a leader, you’re a leader naturally. Emirates will give their cabin crew the parameters of running their leadership.
Emirates gives their cabin crew leadership training that they will go to the training school and they will be having training modules. Doing your job as a leader they do webinars to make sure that they’re well updated on the happenings. Remember that being a leader of Emirates or what they called “Purser” is a process and progress. Every year you will be attending a seminar, they will give you the modules covering all the topics such as what are the cabin crew leaders going to discuss. They also have role plays in which somebody will be acting as a crew and they will give a scenario like how are you going to solve this conflict or this problem. Emirates has a yearly training for the purser considering that they want to see whether you’re still there or you’ve lost all your learnings during your leadership training.
In Emirates, even if you’re done in your leadership training they will keep a constant training to refresh your skills to refresh the tools that every purser needs to handle agreements. The one thing that a purser wants in their team is that if you want to be an effective flight attendant make sure that you are already self-motivated and don’t depend on other people to give you that happiness. Be motivated in everything you do as a flight attendant and you do your job well.
